Our stay at Spoon Mountain has been such a refreshing escape! The glamping site strikes the perfect balance between comfort and the beauty of the outdoors, cozy, peaceful, and surrounded by the kind of Hill Country views that make you slow down and breathe a little deeper. We had the pleasure of meeting Yvette early in our stay, and her kindness set the tone for the rest of our visit. She goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels at home, and those small touches, from fresh towels to local tips about exploring the Blue Hole; made all the difference. We stayed in Kingfisher for our spring break, and it was everything we needed. Ken and Yvette were responsive, helpful, and checked in with us multiple times to see if we needed extra supplies. The tent is beautiful, well stocked, and easily accessible. The pool and soaking tub outside were well kept and absolutely amazing to use. They provide you with s’mores supplies to use at your personal fire pit outside. They also have a pool net and floaties to use whenever you’d like. The scenery and wildlife left us in awe. Wimberley, San Marcos, and Dripping Springs offered all the excursions and outings we wanted. We will absolutely be back in the summer! ~ Chyann S

There’s not nearly enough stars for how to rate this spot. No actually, Wimberley is a dark sky community and from the private patio with the lights off you can see so many stars! The grounds and facilities were gorgeous, creativity crafted and immaculate. The massage therapists were very professional and we enjoyed our couples massage. We took advantage of the heated pool, roasted marshmallows in the early morning to savor with our nespresso coffee and enjoyed the luxury of the outdoor tub. My husband and I can not wait to come back again and visit. Would recommend this place to anyone. It has everything you could possibly need. Loved the outdoor soak tub, the private pool, and seating area in the back. We enjoyed the cooler evenings playing games that are included in the stay. Bed was comfortable, inside the tent was cool and spacious and had enough dishes for 2. You really do not need to bring much with you. They had it all. Only recommendation for the owner is to add some scissors to the kitchen and a pan for grill cooking. The gravel parking you can hear people pull in and out, but we turned on the sound machine on the Alexa or use the ear plugs. It was really the perfect getaway and so close to town. ~ Jennifer D

We stayed at the Shaka tent for our four year anniversary. It was such an amazing stay. From the moment I walked through the door I fell in love with this place. Everything was just perfect. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We spent most of our time at the pool. I love that we had a private pool. We even had a towel warmer and a heater (I always use a heater even in the summer lol.) Our shower had a eucalyptus spray which is available to purchase and I just had to buy it. We met the owner Yvette and she was so nice. I loved everything about this place. We will definitely be coming back. ~ Diana B

Boy did we enjoy our visit. Ken, Yvette and Yvonne were attentive and welcoming. Our accommodations were just as described and very comfortable. No TV really added to our experience as it’s been a while since we’ve unplugged in that way. Fridge is small (understandable) so bring a cooler and get ice if you intend to stock any food or beverages. We’d suggest not over planning excursions at the expense of spending time at the residence (we canceled one to free up more “hang out” time on the porch). We really relaxed while we were there. We spent our third year wedding anniversary in Wimberly, Texas at the most beautiful place called Spoon Mountain Glamping!!! Highly recommend this place! No tv and full of nature! The perfect getaway for you and your spouse to disconnect from life’s busyness and get closer! We had a wonderful time having deep conversations, swimming in our private pool, grilling, eating on a patio overlooking the most beautiful view, getting our first couples massage together and just being present with one another! Peaceful, luxurious retreat- a little piece of Heaven here on Earth- where every single detail was thought of: in room music through Alexa, acoustic guitar, s'mores kit for the private fire pit, private heated pool, private outdoor bubble bathtub under the stars, luxury bedding that enveloped you like a marshmallow, espresso machine, eucalyptus spray for the shower, outdoor grill, indoor mini fridge/ kitchenette, bath towels, pool towels, deck towels, softest bath robes, and so many more. We felt so pampered in this beautifully decorated luxury retreat! We now have a love for a new type of camping!! Thank you for being so intentional with all the amenities. The management is thoughtful, intentional, attentive, caring and easy to work with- even asking if we wanted the pool heated. The common pavilion on the grounds was relaxing, beautiful, complete with a sauna and ginormous hot tub! The sunset was SPECTACULAR! We felt so blessed to have found this gem of a retreat! Absolutely loved the peace and serenity of this place. It was wonderful to step away from life for a moment and just enjoy the Texas Hill Country. The sunset views are beautiful and the starry sky is stunning. I’ve never gone glamping before and Spoon Mountain has set the standard. An hour after we checked out, my husband realized he forgot his phone and we were able to locate it still in our tent. Everyone was extremely helpful in finding the phone and having it shipped to us! We went there for our anniversary and it was absolutely wonderful. We walked in and there were roses, wine and cake with a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY sign hanging over the bed! Everything was so cozy and comfy! The privacy was great and were able to enjoy the heated pool in total relaxation. It was equipped everything you needed the only thing we need to bring was ourselves and snacks! Thanks for great romantic weekend and would recommend to anyone looking for a great little getaway! My husband and I were looking for a quiet, relaxing yet romatntic way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. This was our place! There were specific directions to get to the area and specific instructions for the tent & area, which I truly appreciated! We felt at home. The tent and amentities were thoughtfully laid out. I reached out to the hosts with questions and they were promptly answered before and during our stay. We were even in our tent during a thunderstorm and had no anxiety about our safety. Ein wirklich tolles Erlebnis! Man glaubt gar nicht, sich in einem Zelt zu befinden, so geräumig und schön eingerichtet wie das ist. Super viel Platz und im hinteren Teil einen eigenen, eingezäunten Bereich nur für dich, mit Grill, privatem Pool und Whirlwanne. Leider hatten wir bei uns sehr eisige Temperaturen, das Klimagerät fungiert aber auch als Heizung, dafür wie kalt es draußen war, hatten wir es drinnen immer noch angenehm warm. Sollten wir jemals wieder in Texas Urlaub machen, kommen wir definitiv wieder! ~ Thomas H

This was just what we needed! It met all of our expectations and more! Booked a couples facial and massage on site. Enjoyed the pool and evening sunsets on the front deck. You are out in the wilderness and there are wild animals around. Be aware of your surroundings. Also would recommend bringing an eye sleep mask to help with the brightness that illuminates from the deck lights. We had an amazing time and look forward to returning in the future. Would love to bring our family or group of friends and rent all three tents out. ~ Melissa E

From the moment we walked in we knew we were going to love this place. From the thoughtful touches and amenities, to the decor this establishment was perfect. Comfortable beds, great shower and water pressure, the outdoor tub in the back. Simply breathtaking. We spent the weekend here for my husband's birthday and I could not ask for a better getaway! The property was phenomenal, our tent was wonderful, and the pool that was just for us was the cherry on top of it all. The details that weny into it to make it homey is just fabulous. Glamping as it should be! A short drive from Wimberly Square, this place was a wonderful get away for me and my wife. A comfy bed, private pool, and several silly/awesome things (like a record player, acoustic guitar, and Polaroid camera) to play with all made for a romantic spot to chill between excursions. We were there during *freezing* (sub 30°) temperatures, but the mini-split units (yes, plural, for a TENT) were more than adequate. Will definitely be returning! ~ Tyler T

My wife and I just came back from a 2 day vacation at Spoon Mountain Glamping. The place is absolutely amazing. The most impressive part was the attention to the details that the owners so obviously had. From small welcoming gifts to bath robs, little things like these were just fantastic. If I could give more stars I would! I didn't take many photos. I unplugged from my phone and just enjoyed the experience! The pictures are spot on! The private back porch was amazing! The heated pool during the day and the fire pit at night! Luxury bedding! Every detail was thought out! The smell inside was the most wonderful relaxing scent! My husband surprised me with 3 day getaway at spoon mountain and it was amazing. The tents are cozy yet exotic. The property is gorgeous. A steamy sunrise bath out back. Watching deer head home and the sun set from the front deck. They had everything we needed. It was the best getaway yet! My favorite part of the stay had to be the privacy. Our weekend was wonderful. So restful and relaxing. Beautiful glamping tent! MY kind of camping for sure! Luxury through out the bedding, towels, furniture inside and on the front and back deck, just great. We didn't use the pool but we would like to come back when it is warm enough to enjoy that. We look forward to playing the games in the tents and this year the private pool and Blackstone griddle were top notch upgrades. We arrive tomorrow for our 3rd year. My beautiful wife and I were so excited to see the private pools added since our last visit. PRIVATE POOLS! You read right! What more could you ask for? Every detail has been thoughtfully curated for an outstanding glamping experience. There's only 3 units so it's never crowded. The additional giant pavilion with hot tub and sauna helps melt away the soreness of exploring everything Wimberly has to offer. Highly recommended. ~ Caleb H

My spouse and I recently had a delightful experience at Spoon Mountain Glamping. The location is superb, with the town center just minutes away, offering an array of charming stores and restaurants to explore. Moreover, the proximity to various nature attractions, such as Jacob's Well and Dripping Springs, adds to the allure. For adventurers, there's even an off-road trail nearby in Marble Springs, TX. The grounds were impeccably maintained, featuring a communal area complete with a fire pit and other relaxing amenities. Our tent/yurt accommodation was exceptional, boasting a front balcony and a private balcony at the rear. During our stay, we noticed they were in the process of constructing private pools for each site, which promises to enhance the experience further. The unit was immaculate, comfortable, and equipped with both AC and heating facilities. The management staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring our stay was nothing short of memorable. In conclusion, my spouse and I are already planning our return visit. Spoon Mountain Glamping strikes the perfect balance – it's conveniently close to home yet provides the escape and relaxation of a true vacation. ~ John B
